Hak JungleVine® Tote Bags, named after the Lao word for love, come in two colors – un-dyed natural and dark-dyed soa. The un-dyed natural color Hak has natural rich earth totes; a style we used to call Pahk. The dark-dyed soa color can vary from shades of gray to black. Whether you choose natural or soa, this look is SHARP. This vintage style mimics the original bags that the Khmu artisans have made for themselves for thousands of years.
HOW ARE HAK JUNGLEVINE® TOTE BAGS MADE?
Khmu artisans in remote villages across Laos hand-make these bags using fiber from a fast-growing vine that grows wild--without any cultivation. It is the ultimate in eco-friendly, carbon-negative fibers. JungleVine® fiber, from the plant Pueraria phaseoloides, is so environmentally friendly that is is Better than Hemp™. Every facet of bag-making, from spinning and dying the fiber to tying the bags and weaving the straps, is done by hand at home. The entire process is carbon neutral and the gentlest form of manufacturing on Earth.

Pictured: Our model Justine Renee in the pink sweater has a Large, Shoulder-Strap Hak Natural. Our model Ana in the blue dress and the pink/gray floral dress has two different Hak Totes; a Medium, Crossbody-Strap Hak Soa and a Medium, Shoulder-Strap Hak Natural. The Hak Natural at the beach with the bananas is Extra Large, Shoulder Strap.
The bag's size adds to the drop length, so suitable crossbody lengths vary based on the bag's size. For example, a 92-cm strap works well for crossbody on an XL bag, but it is too short for crossbody on a M bag. See .
